HubSpot Product update: February 2023

Written by Ana Botija Loaísa | 28 February, 2023

HubSpot keeps continuously growing and improving. In fact, many of HubSpot's new features are due to ongoing user requests, which are constantly reviewed by Product Managers and included in the product development roadmap.

HubSpot latest news announced

1. Global filters in reporting dashboards

If you've ever created dashboard reports in HubSpot, you've probably duplicated your reports to see your data segmented by pipeline, region, or sales team.

Well, with this update you won't have to duplicate reports anymore. HubSpot has just included filters that can be applied to all dashboard reports at once. For example, in a services dashboard, you'll be able to have general reports for all ticket pipelines, and filter by the team all at once using this new feature.

In addition, this will help you to have more order in the list of reports, and it will take you longer to reach the limit of reports in your HubSpot portal. This update is now available for all plans and Hubs, including the free one.

2. Receiving calls within HubSpot

A very popular feature of the HubSpot CRM is the possibility of making calls directly to our leads and customers, so that they can be registered in their corresponding files. Now, HubSpot has included the ability for incoming calls to be logged automatically, without additional integrations.

For now, the numbers available are only from the US, UK, Canada and Australia, but they are working to include numbers from other countries in the near future. It should be pointed out that it is not necessary to be located in any of these countries to use these numbers. This is a public beta for Starter+ plans.

3. Associating marketing events with HubSpot campaigns

If you have Marketing Hub Pro and above, a new element type can now be associated with a campaign in HubSpot: marketing events. This way, with analyzed event performance data we will get more visibility, efficiency and a consistent end-to-end campaign experience.

4. Automations in Ads for Starter+

In the Ads tab it is now possible tocreate simple automations for portals using Starter and more advanced plans. This way, for example, you can send a follow-up email when your contacts have interacted in some way with your paid content.

5. Logic in the business or ticket creation form

It is now possible to request different properties in the new business or ticket creation form. Previously, the tool asked for the same properties regardless of the pipeline to which the new object would go, so the possibilities of making certain properties mandatory at the time of creation were quite limited.

This new feature is now available in Pro and Enterprise plans.

6. Calendar view to schedule meetings from the CRM

When it comes to scheduling meetings with customers or leads, it is quite tedious to have to move between our calendar, our email, and HubSpot to schedule a call. Thanks to this new feature, you will only have to worry about connecting your accounts and the rest can be done from the tool. From now on, it is possible to see the availability of your calendar when you click on the meeting button in the contact, business, or company tab. Moreover, it works for all HubSpot plans, including the free one.

7. Rules for validation of date-type properties

A few months ago, the possibility of adding rules for most property types was introduced. For example, for text properties, we could force that there were no special characters or numbers. However, for date properties, we had not yet seen this possibility.

8. Associated objects as soon as they are created

Pretty much in line with the previous functionality, HubSpot now allows administrators to require the association with other objects as mandatory and visible when creating a new object.

For example, if your sales team sometimes forgets to associate the new business with the corresponding company or contact, this feature will minimize such errors. It is now available for all plans starting with Starter.

9. New unique identifiers and error tables in the import

From now on, it will also be possible to use custom properties other than Record IDs to update properties or to de-duplicate business, tickets, or custom objects. We are sure that this will facilitate your migration from your previous CRM or database, since, for example, you could use the unique identifiers of your system, saving you several imports and exports.

Also, to make it even easier to import data quickly and effectively, HubSpot has introduced an error table, to help you better see what went wrong with your previous import, without having to download any .csv files.

Finally, you will be able to preview the first 100 rows of your file, and HubSpot will analyze if the data fits within your properties. Previously, it only checked the first 3 rows. All these features are available for all plans, including the free one.

10. Convert active lists to static rows

To make your work easier, so that you don't have to clone, or delete and create a new list, it is now possible in HubSpot to convert an active list into a static one.

11. Account security and performance Review

Si If you're concerned about protecting your HubSpot portal, this new feature will interest you: they've just introduced a new security center, which adds a score out of 100 to portals and audits the security of each account. Some of the aspects it now measures are the number of super admins or users who have enabled 2-factor verification.

In addition, in Enterprise accounts, super admins will be able to review and audit all actions performed by account users, such as modifying workflows, deleting contacts, etc.

As you can see, the HubSpot CRM is constantly being updated with new features that we hope you have found interesting.
